Basically, Bloomington is a cool scene to be in.  Look at all those pubs and restaurants down below.

Bloomington, Indiana has lots of good food - In quality and quantity. Plus each restaurant is unique with different styles of cooking and global influence.

This gets IU students excited:

So with all the good food and such, you need a lot of people and a big campus to upkeep the culture.  At Indiana University, there are more than 40,000 students!

Nuff said.

For a taste of how many students they have, look at assembly hall (IU's basketball stadium) to get a idea.  BTW, the stadium only seats 17,472.

So over 40,000 is a lot of students.  We've been over this.  And all these students need a place to live either off campus/on campus.

Also, it takes 20-30 minutes just to walk from one end of the campus to the other.  We aren't even talking about how much walking those who live off campus do!  Plus, most students don't have cars.  And if they do... good luck finding parking.

So once the students make it to class, it's not uncommon that they show up like this.

So from what I told you, let's put it all together... you know, the math.

1. Good Food + 2. Distance + 3. Students without cars + 4. Need for speed
