Would 'Delivery Week' be as Bangin' as Restaurant Week?

Alas, here I am, sitting in a suburb of the greatest city in the world (I may be biased). So close, yet so far from New York City Restaurant Week. As I sit here being taunted by world-class cuisine at discount prices, I begin to wonder just how common is this wonderful weeklong occurrence!?

Naturally curiosity got the best of me, and I turned to google to discover that 14 of our 19 current Mr. Delivery markets have restaurant weeks of their own! Some of you may be wondering what exactly I am talking about. A 'restaurant week' is a week (or more) when restaurants in a city offer 2-3 course meals off of a specialized menu for a fixed, discounted price. Most events support charitable organizations, while also supporting the restaurants through good marketing and the community through discounted food!

So now you understand the hype: a restaurant week is an all-around win. But what about the people who are too busy to enjoy the luxuries of restaurant week? Or what if the weather is simply too inclement to make the journey out to the participating restaurants in the first place? There could be a solution: both for restaurants and for customers. 

"Delivery Week" could be that solution. Though some areas run a restaurant week in both the summer and the winter, most only do in the summer. Thus, Delivery Week could run across all markets in the winter, a time when people are more likely to stay in and avoid the cold, thus order delivery. Or, delivery weeks could vary by market: when each individual market has their Restaurant Week, a Delivery Week could also be in effect to maximize sales.
