The music has actually influenced the way we have perceived the tastes and textures of that meal and that we would have perceived them differently to a different sound track. Tempo and pitch as well as genre of music, have the influence on eating behaviors and the response to foods. Research shows that slow music tends to slow down our speed of eating with the result that customers spend longer in restaurants and potentially order more courses. The type of music may also influence the choices we make. People will spend more expensive when classical music is played but will select lower priced products when pop hit are in the background. Genre also has impact on how much people say they like the same foods. Now join #Tunes Tuesday from Mr.Delivery. Every week you can find more and more of your favorite songs to jam to on our very own Spotify playlist. Nothing goes with a good meal like some good music, and here at Mr. Delivery, we've got the perfect playlist to go with any food from any of our select Austin restaurants! Music and sounds are powerful triggers of memory and this can be used to enhance our perception of the flavors and quality of a meal. |
